:: began the list of things i’m thankful for. invited a few friends to join in. when it gets to the point of being thankful for fresh green beans off the vine, hot coffee and “The Sound of Music” (the musical), you know you’re really giving it thought.
:: decided to hold my “virtual” tongue and not send the nasty reply i crafted up. as witty as it sounded, it was mud-slinging and steering my ship in the wrong the direction.
:: i love people. i also love solitude. but when i can sacrifice my small comforts so that someone else can find a place of refuge, that’s when i learn to love.
:: when we don’t see eye-to-eye (and not just because of height) but i stop “standing my ground” to admit that i was wrong … i find a little sprout of love where i never saw it before.
:: adding pepper to the eggs, making the coffee just a little stronger, making the bed, using throw pillows, lighting the candles … all of these things. worship in their own right. honoring in the small things. singing sweet songs when i just want to stomp my feet.
